Breakfast honey-spread
To prepare 3/4 cup of breakfast spread you will need:
- 1/2 cup (2.4 oz, 136 g) unsalted light butter
- 1/4 cup (1.2 oz, 34 g) honey
- 1 tsp (5 ml) vanilla or lemon zest
- 1/2 tsp (2.5 ml) cinnamon
- Pecans or pistachio for topping
Whip the butter on a high speed for 1 min. Add all of the remaining ingredients together beating with a spoon gently, until a smooth paste is formed. Spread immediately over a freshly baked toast or a hot muffin. Sprinkle with pecans or pistachio to add a crunch to the morning bite.
