Apple sauce
To prepare 2 cups of apple sauce you will need:
- 1 tbs (0.3 oz, 8 g) unsalted light butter
- 3/4 cup (3.6 oz, 102 g) honey
- 1/2 cup crushed cinnamon biscuits
- 1/4 cup water (1.2 oz)
- 1 tsp (5 ml) vanilla
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 4 medium size apples (or 3 large)
Peal and slice the apples. Melt the butter over a low heat in a thick pot. Add honey, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, water, and biscuits. Mix well. Add the apple slices. Cook over medium heat for 10-15 min, or until small bubbles start to appear. Remove from the pot and let cool. If desired you may blend in a processor until smooth.
